LOOKOUT.
Saturday, October 22, 2011
Last Saturday, Stephanie from That's Better and Emily from So Anthro and I got together and spent the day apple & pumpkin picking and making fall-themed crafts. It was such a perfect way to enjoy the beautiful fall weather we've been having! We started our day at the beautiful Lookout Farm [ the oldest continuously working farm in the US! ]. We couldn't have been more excited when we saw the cute pumpkin patches, extensive orchard, and sweet little train that takes you around the farm. [ We were totally geeking out--we all LOVE fall! ] I had gone to an orchard with my boyfriend a few weeks ago, and was more than happy to get to go again. Here are some snapshots from our day!
Stephanie, Emily, and I had met at Rendez-Vous New England, and it was so great to see them again! It's always so nice to meet up with fellow bloggers! It was a wonderfully fun day, and a great way to celebrate fall. Have you been up to any fall-themed activities lately? I'd love to hear!
I hope you're all having a wonderful weekend! PS...Check out Emily's lovely recap!
OCTOBER WEEKEND.
Monday, October 17, 2011
This weekend was absolutely beautiful again. On Saturday I went apple picking and spent the afternoon decorating pumpkins with Stephanie from That's Better and Emily from So Anthro. [ Recap coming soon! ] On Sunday, I spent the day by the beach at my parents house. All in all, it was a wonderfully fun and relaxing weekend! I'm not quite ready for Monday yet, but I have a busy week ahead so hopefully it wont be too bad!
PS...Hemenway Street got a little makeover. I'd love to know what you think!

APPLES TO APPLES.
Wednesday, October 12, 2011
Last weekend, my boyfriend and I visited the Cold Spring Orchard in Belchertown, MA. It was everything you could want an apple orchard to be: a picturesque big red barn, friendly owners, and row after row of delicious, ripe apples. We wandered around for a while, enjoying the beautiful views and delightfully warm weather. We ended up taking home some perfectly spiced apple cider and the biggest, juiciest apples I've ever tasted. It was so much more fun than picking up produce at the grocery store!
Do you want to go apple picking? Join us this weekend!
Stephanie from That's Better and I are planning a little get-together to celebrate all things fall! Join us on October 15th in Boston for a day of fall festivities! We'll be going Apple Picking & Punkin' Huntin' at a local farm and then returning for an afternoon of punkin' crafts and apple treats.

INDIAN SUMMER.
Monday, October 10, 2011
This weekend was so wonderfully warm, it could have been August. You never know how long warm weather will last in New England, so I made sure to spend as much time outside as I could! I went to the beautiful Quabbin Reservoir with my boyfriend [ more pictures to come! ], went to a picture-perfect apple orchard, and spent some much needed time at my parents' house. I'm feeling a little under the weather, so it was nice to get some rest and have some of my Mom's amazing pumpkin soup.
I'm happy to be linking up with Ashley from a {little} dash of ash for her Instagram Link Party. Do you use Instagram?
Did you have a good long weekend? I'd love to hear!

FENWAY.
Tuesday, October 4, 2011
The Red Sox may be done for the season, but for me, Fenway Park will always be synonymous with Boston. [ I actually live close enough to Fenway that I can hear the crowd cheer if I leave my windows open on game days. ] A few weeks ago, my boyfriend and I went to Fenway to see the Red Sox for his birthday. I must admit that I am far from the world's biggest baseball fan, but I love going to games. The Red Sox are such a huge part of the culture of Boston, and I really enjoy feeling that connection to the city. Being the oldest baseball stadium in use, Fenway is full of history -- and the games are always a great time!
