NOT ALL THOSE WHO WANDER.

Something about the return of spring always has me craving change. This summer, I'll be going on a road trip to Oklahoma [ about 1,700 miles! ] and then spending a month in the U.K. visiting family, and I couldn't be more excited. I believe a change of scenery can do wonders for the soul.

Do you love to travel? I'd love to hear!

[ And any road trip tips would be very much appreciated! ]

  1. I want to go to the UK!!! Take me! I love travelling, but unfortunately I do not have enough money right now to do anything big. I'd love to go to Hong Kong soon though to see my family. That'd just be the best :)

    1. Ahh, if only we could have endless travel budgets! What kind of job pays you to travel all over the world? Whatever it is, I'll do it! I was born in England and lived there until I was 8, and ever since my family and I have gone back about once a year to visit the relatives we left behind. It's been harder to me to find the time to travel since starting college, and I haven't been back for 3 and a half years now. I'm excited to see my family!

    1. I'm excited to see my family! I've never really done a road trip before. I used to live in Texas, and we moved to Massachusetts when I was 11. I must say, that drive was not too much fun!

  3. I was just saying the other day on http://librasmoments.blogspot.com.au/ that there's nothing I like better than the self growth and perspective that comes from traveling.
Alas it's been too long since I was last on a plane but I'm hatching a little plan to get away quite soon hopefully.
A bit of a winter escape in my case :)
Enjoy your trip dearest. Looking forward to your road trip snap shots x

    1. I think if I could have any super power it would be unlimited time & money to travel! This will be my last long period of time off before graduating college next year and I'm trying to make the most of it while I can.

  5. As a military family, we travel by nature (or job, I guess). But the more we move, the more I find myself looking forward to the next adventure. We are trying to take advantage of every opportunity that comes our way.

As far as road trips, if you havent done the CA coast yet, then you need to put it on a bucket list asap.

    1. That's a great way to look at life, Kate! I'm actually taking the road trip to Oklahoma because my boyfriend is in the army and will be training there for six months. We're definitely trying to make the most of it by making it into a fun little trip rather than a sad goodbye.

I went to California when I was really little, but I haven't been back since. I'd love to go!

    1. Thanks, Mackenzie! I have never really seen that part of the country. We'll be stopping in Chicago for a few days on the way to see my boyfriend's brother and I'm so excited to get to see some new places. It was lovely meeting you!

  9. That all sounds amazing! A month in the UK? Sign me up!

Something I like doing on road trips is listening to comedians instead of music. It's a nice break from the tunes and who doesn't like to laugh?!
